
Job Description: PLM Business Analyst

Position Overview -
We are looking for an experienced PLM Business Analyst to join our team and support digital transformation initiatives across product lifecycle management. The role involves analyzing business processes, gathering requirements, and ensuring the successful implementation and optimization of PLM systems. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business stakeholders, engineering, manufacturing, and IT teams to deliver effective PLM solutions that streamline product development and lifecycle processes.
Key Responsibilities -

Partner with stakeholders from Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and IT to understand business needs and translate them into PLM system requirements.

Document functional specifications, workflows, and process designs for PLM solutions.

Support the implementation, configuration, and enhancement of PLM platforms (e.g., Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill, Dassault ENOVIA, or other PLM tools).

Conduct gap analysis between business requirements and system capabilities.

Facilitate workshops, requirements sessions, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

Assist with data migration, integration, and validation activities between PLM and other enterprise systems (ERP, CAD, MES, etc.).

Provide training, documentation, and support to end-users.

Identify opportunities to improve product lifecycle efficiency, compliance, and collaboration.

Ensure adherence to regulatory, security, and quality standards in PLM-related processes.

Stay updated on PLM industry trends and recommend innovative improvements.
Qualifications -

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

Proven experience (5+ years) as a Business Analyst, preferably in PLM implementations.

Strong understanding of PLM concepts (BOM management, change management, versioning, document control, compliance, etc.).

Hands-on knowledge of at least one major PLM system (e.g., Teamcenter, Windchill, ENOVIA, Aras).

Familiarity with CAD tools and integration between PLM and CAD/ERP systems.

Strong documentation, process mapping, and requirements-gathering skills.

Knowledge of software development life cycle (Agile/Waterfall).

Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills -
